SK hynix complements its consumer SSD lineup at CES 2022 with two new M.2 PCIe options

SK hynix recently moved into the consumer storage space with the ii.5-inch Gold S31 SATA solid-state drive (SSD), bringing excellent performance at a competitive price. Announced at CES 2022, SK hynix now also has to offering ii new M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs featuring its proprietary Quartz controller.

Both the mainstream Golden P31 and high-finish Platinum P31 SSDs include 128-layer NAND flash and HYPERWRITE technology that boosts write speeds thank you to single-level jail cell (SLC) buffering. Whether you become with the Gold or Platinum version, a 5-year warranty is included.

The Platinum P31, the flagship M.2 2280 SSD, comes in a 2TB size and can hitting upwardly to iii,500MB/due south sequential read and iii,200MB/s sequential write speeds. It too offers a 1,500 Terabytes Written (TBW) rating, which means you should be able to write a whopping 1,500TB to the bulldoze before it fails. Microsoft has announced that later this year, users will be required to connect to the internet and sign-in with a Microsoft Account during the out of box setup experience on Windows 11 Pro. Microsoft has already been enforcing this requirement on Windows 11 Dwelling house since launch last October, and Windows 11 Pro is now expected to follow suit presently.
